Good Housekeeping Celebrates 125 Years with Show
It is fitting that on International Women’s day, Good Housekeeping magazine announces that they are producing a show to profile the achievements of women over the past 125 years, to be staged at the New York City Center. The show, called “Shine On,” is scheduled for one performance, on April 12. The subtitle is “Celebrating 125 Years of Women Making Their Mark. The magazine is also celebrating it’s 125th anniversary this year.
They have also signed on one of their long time advertisers Maybelline as a show sponsor, and will offer them opportunities to sample products at the show, as well as make up touch ups by roaming makeup artists.
The magazine will also publish a special feature in an upcoming issue, highlighting the 125 women who made an impact through the years.
This is an interesting example of a magazine branching out and trying to create a more experienced based opportunity for their brand, while presenting opportunities for their advertising partners.
